Job summary

ES Connect Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project Engineer to support planning, coordination and execution of ELV and data center projects in Elmina, Sungai Buloh, Selangor. The role ensures work aligns with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and project schedules.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Bachelor's in Engineering and has at least 2 years of experience in network infrastructure or data center environments.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/IT) or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in network infrastructure/IT/ME engineering.
• Experience on hyperscale or large-scale data center projects is an advantage.
• Good technical, organizing and coordination skills.
• Knowledge of project management is an added advantage.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin useful but not required.
• Willing to work extra hours, weekends/public holidays if required.
• Able to work independently with responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and execute special projects.
• Supervise and allocate tasks to site workforce/sub-contractor; ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
• Ensure project scope including specification/ customer requirement and due date are communicated clearly to the project team and customer.
• Ensure tasks are progressing according to the plan and perform recovery plan if delayed.
• Regularly monitor and inspect the work progress to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Ensure that the materials needed for the project are procured and delivered on-time.
• Ensure installation plan is set with field service to ensure smooth installation at customer end.
• Any tasks that may be assigned to you from time to time.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Elmina, Sungai Buloh, Selangor.

To support the planning, coordination and execution of the Company’s structured cabling, ELV and data center projects, ensuring all works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and project schedules.

Key responsibilities

To plan, design and execute special projects

Supervise and allocate tasks to the site workforce/sub-contractor; ensuring efficient utilization of resources.

Ensure project scope including specification/ customer requirement and due date are communicated clearly to the project team and customer.

Ensure tasks are progressing according to the plan and perform recovery plan if delayed.

Regularly monitor and inspect the work progress to ensure compliance with project specifications.

Ensure that the materials needed for the project are procured and delivered on-time.

Ensure installation plan is set with field service to ensure smooth installation at customer end.

Job requirements

Possess at least Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electrical/ Mechanical)/ Information Technology or equivalent.

Minimum with 2 years related working experience (network infrastructure/IT solutions/Mechanical & Electrical engineering) and experience on hyperscale or large-scale data center projects, ELV/BMS cabling & system will be added advantage.

Good technical competence, organizing and coordination skills.

Knowledge and skills for project management is adding advantages.

Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Ability to communicate in Mandarin would be an added advantage but is not mandatory.

Willing to work extra hours and support on weekend or public holiday if required.

Able to work independently with a good sense of responsibility.
