Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an ELV Project Manager to design, coordinate, and deliver Extra Low Voltage systems for data centre projects across APAC.

The role involves developing ELV system designs, preparing engineering documentation, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting project delivery from concept through commissioning. Travel ~25% and experience in structured cabling, security, telecom, and integrated ELV systems are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Telecommunications or ICT engineering or related discipline.
• 3–7 years of ELV design experience.
• Experience in data centre or mission‑critical projects is a must.
• Familiarity with regional APAC project environments is an advantage.
• Knowledge of structured cabling, fiber, ELV security, telecom and ICT infrastructure.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support ELV system designs for data centre projects.
• Prepare Basis of Design, ELV specifications, and cabling layouts.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, architectural, ICT and structural teams.
• Review contractor drawings, respond to RFIs, and support testing and commissioning.
• Assist with IST and handover documentation.

The ELV Project Manager is responsible for the design, coordination, and technical delivery of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems for mission-critical and data centre projects across Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Australia.

The role involves developing ELV system designs, preparing engineering documentation, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting project delivery from concept through commissioning. The successful candidate will have experience in structured cabling, security systems, telecom infrastructure, and integrated ELV systems within data centre environments. Travel to site will be required for site verification estimated to be approximately 25% and will very with the phase of project and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and support ELV system designs for data centre projects including:

• Structured Cabling Systems (Copper & Fiber)
• Fiber Optic Backbone Infrastructure
• Meet-Me Rooms (MMR)
• Access Control Systems (ACS)
• Telecom Infrastructure
• Security Management Systems
• BMS/DCIM interfaces

Prepare and review:

• Basis of Design (BOD)
• ELV specifications
• Structured cabling layouts
• Pathway and containment drawings
• Technical reports
• IFC and As-Built documentation

Coordination & BIM Integration

• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, architectural, ICT, and structural disciplines.
• Participate in BIM coordination and clash detection reviews.
• Support multidisciplinary design workshops and technical meetings.
• Ensure proper coordination of cable routes, containment systems, and telecom pathways.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, consultants, and client teams.

Construction Support

• Review contractor shop drawings and material submittals.
• Respond to RFIs and technical queries.
• Conduct site inspections and progress reviews.
• Support testing and commissioning activities.
• Assist with integrated systems testing (IST) and project handover documentation.

Talent Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in the following fields such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, ICT Engineering or related discipline
• 3–7 years of ELV design experience.
• Experience in data centre or mission‑critical projects is a must.
• Familiarity with regional APAC project environments is an advantage.
• Preferred experience in Hyperscale data centres, Colocation facilities, Mission‑critical infrastructure, Commercial or industrial projects
• Possesses a strong understanding of structured cabling systems, fiber optic infrastructure, ELV security systems, telecom and ICT infrastructure, data centre support systems, redundant pathway coordination, and MMR/IDF planning.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledgeable in TIA-607, BICSI standards, and applicable local telecommunications regulations.
