Job summary

TransSystem Continental is seeking a Project Engineer to manage civil works on site, ensuring delivery on time and within budget while meeting client specifications. You will coordinate with subcontractors, prepare WP, MS and JSA, and report progress to the Project Manager.

The role requires a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering and at least 2 years of experience in civil projects, with willingness to travel and a contract term until Dec 2026, renewable upon extension.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 2 years of working experience in project planning and control in civil construction or infrastructure project.
• Willing to travel.
• Strong project management skills and ability to provide solutions.
• Willing to accept contract term until Dec 2026, renewable subject to project extension.

Responsibilities

• Stationed at site and coordinate activities during critical works.
• Report project progress to Project Manager.
• Develop and update Project Work Program (WP) and monitor progress.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to meet contract, drawings and specs.
• Prepare RFQ for PM to subcontract.
• Attend client meetings to report site progress.
• Coordinate with authorities on permits.
• Prepare Method Statement (MS) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Liaise with client on Joint Measurement Sheet (JMS) and claims submission.
• Assist PM on design drawings to suit equipment and design.

TSC is embarking upon an exciting growth phase and as such we are seeking a Project Engineer to join our project team. You will be responsible for the project management and execution works at site are in accordance to technical specification to ensure TNB schedule within the timeline.

What will you be doing?

Job Goal

To ensure management of Civil Works portion of the projects acquired to be delivered on time and budget.

To ensure quality of works are to clients satisfaction according to technical specification.

To ensure safety aspects of works are recognized and according to client’s requirement.

You will play an important role to:

• Stationed at site as and when required especially during critical work (concreting, inspection, lifting and etc).
• To report on project progress to Project Manager (PM).
• To come out with Project Work Program (WP) and to update the WP as site progress.
• To coordinate work at site with appointed subcontractors to client's satisfaction according to contract, approved drawing and technical specifications.
• To raise Request for Quotation (RFQ) for PM to subcontract.
• To attend meeting with client to report on site progress.
• To liaise with respective authority and client on permit approval.
• To come out with Method Statement (MS) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for works to be conducted at site.
• To lasse with client on Joint Measurement Sheet (JMS) and claims submission.
• To coordinate with Consultant and assist PM on the design drawings to suite electrical equipment and design.

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 2 years of working experience in project planning and control in civil construction or infrastructure project.
• Willing to travel.
• Strong project management skills, good interpersonal skills and ability to provide solution for problem solving. At least 2 years of working experience to be eligible for RAA training requirement.
• Willing to accept contract term until Dec 2026, renewable subject to project extension.
