The Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, site execution, testing, commissioning, and handover of Brooklyn package works for data center construction projects. The role involves coordination of data hall infrastructure, building services, M&E systems, equipment installation, and integration with other data center packages to ensure works are completed according to approved drawings, project specifications, schedule, quality, safety, and data center requirements.
Support the planning and execution of Brooklyn package works
Review drawings, equipment layouts, technical specifications, method statements, and material submissions
Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and internal project teams
Identify interface requirements between M&E, ELV, and other project packages
Coordinate installation works related to data hall infrastructure, building services, M&E systems, equipment installation, and system integration
Ensure proper routing, installation quality, access clearance, and coordination with other packages
Assist in resolving site issues, clashes, and coordination matters
Monitor & report site progress and issues to Project Manager / Senior Engineer
Prepare and maintain site reports, progress updates, inspection records, material tracking, and equipment documentation
Support preparation of as-built drawings, testing records, handover documents, and close-out documentation
Ensure all installation and testing records are properly updated and submitted
Support testing, commissioning, inspection, and handover activities for project works
Coordinate with vendors, consultants, subcontractors, QAQC, safety, and client representatives during inspections and testing
Support site inspections and ensure installation quality is properly maintained
Assist in final handover, documentation, and defect rectification during the Defect Liability Period (DLP)
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services, or related Engineering field
2–5 years of experience in M&E, building services, or data center construction projects
Knowledge in M&E systems, building services, and construction site coordination
Able to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, method statements, and project documents
Experience coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and site teams
Good communication, coordination, problem-solving, and follow-up skills
Able to work in a fast-paced data center construction environment
Willing to learn and adapt to project requirements
