Job summary

TAKAT ENERGY SDN BHD in Subang Jaya invites a dedicated Package Engineer to join our growing team. This full-time role supports construction and energy projects, coordinating activities, monitoring progress, and ensuring work meets specifications, budgets, and timelines.

You will liaise with contractors, prepare documentation, read drawings, and uphold HSE standards. A Bachelor’s in Civil or Mechanical Eng and at least 1 year in project engineering are required; CIDB or PMP is a plus.

TAKAT ENERGY SDN BHD is seeking a dedicated Package Engineer to join our growing team in Subang Jaya, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our construction and energy projects. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating project activities, monitoring progress, and ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with specifications, budgets, and timelines. This role is integral to maintaining our reputation for excellence and delivering value to our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise construction and project activities from inception to completion
• Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with project schedules, budgets, and quality standards
• Conduct site inspections and document findings to ensure work meets design specifications and safety requirements
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports, drawings, and correspondence
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution
• Identify and manage project risks, implementing corrective actions as necessary
• Support the Project Manager in cost control and resource management activities
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on all project sites
• Assist in troubleshooting technical issues and implementing solutions to keep projects on track
• Maintain accurate records and provide regular progress updates to senior management

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 1 year of experience in project engineering or project coordination within the construction or energy sector
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project management principles, and industry standards
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and best practices
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel to project sites as required
• Professional certifications such as CIDB certification or PMP (Project Management Professional) are advantageous
