The Project Engineer will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and executing EPCC projects to ensure they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. Based at the company headquarters in Petaling Jaya, the position involves close collaboration with project managers, site teams, clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to support project delivery, resolve technical issues, and ensure smooth project execution.
This role is primarily based in TNB REMACO, Petaling Jaya, Selangor and involves close coordination with various internal and external stakeholders.
Coordinate and monitor project activities to ensure work is executed according to project plans, specifications, schedule, and quality requirements.
Assist the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and controlling project execution.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, verify completed work, and ensure compliance with approved drawings and technical specifications.
Ensure all construction activities comply with project quality standards, applicable codes, and client requirements.
Identify and report any non-conformance and coordinate corrective actions.
Promote and enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at the project site.
Participate in safety inspections, toolbox meetings, and risk assessments.
Monitor daily and weekly project progress against the approved schedule.
Prepare progress reports, identify delays or risks, and recommend mitigation measures to the Project Manager.
Provide technical support to site personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Assist in resolving engineering and construction issues to minimize project disruptions.
Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and smooth project execution.
Maintain accurate project records, including site reports, inspection records, technical documents, material submissions, and as-built documentation.
Ensure all project documentation is properly updated and filed in accordance with company procedures.
Bachelor's degree in civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline.
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in project engineering, construction, or EPCC projects. Fresh graduates with strong academic backgrounds may also be considered.
Good understanding of project management principles, construction methodologies, and engineering practices.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Knowledge of Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 is an added advantage.
Familiarity with engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment.
Willingness to travel and work at project sites when required.
