About the role

Sound Lock Acoustic Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This is a full-time position based in Subang Jaya, Selangor. You are required to go on-site if needed. As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the successful planning, execution and delivery of our acoustic engineering projects. You will be responsible for managing project timelines, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that all deliverables meet our high standards of quality and client expectations. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects whilst developing your technical and project management expertise within a dynamic engineering environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and monitor project activities to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery
• Coordinate with design teams, clients and contractors to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and met
• Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including reports, specifications and technical drawings
• Conduct site inspections and assessments to verify project progress and identify any technical or logistical issues
• Manage project budgets and resource allocation to optimise efficiency and minimise costs
• Liaise with stakeholders to provide regular project updates and address concerns or changes
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards and company policies throughout project lifecycle
• Contribute to the development and improvement of project engineering processes and procedures

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline
• 3-5 years of experience in project engineering, preferably in the acoustic, construction or related engineering sectors
• Strong knowledge of project management principles, tools and methodologies
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Problem-solving capability and attention to detail in all project-related activities
• Familiarity with acoustic engineering principles or building services would be advantageous
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to conduct site visits as required
