About the role

Metro Sejagat Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Project Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Bukit Jelutong, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the planning, execution, and delivery of our engineering projects. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role bridges the gap between design and execution, requiring strong technical knowledge combined with excellent project management skills. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and clients to deliver successful project outcomes that contribute to the company's strategic objectives.

What you'll be doing

Planning and scheduling project activities, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure efficient project delivery

Monitoring project progress and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify and mitigate risks

Coordinating with cross-functional teams including design, procurement, construction, and quality assurance departments

Preparing and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including reports, specifications, and technical drawings

Conducting site inspections and quality audits to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards

Managing project budgets and controlling costs whilst maintaining quality standards

Communicating project updates and progress reports to senior management and clients

Identifying and resolving technical challenges and engineering issues that arise during project execution

Ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations, safety protocols, and company policies

Supporting the tender process and proposal development for new projects

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification

2-5 years of professional experience in project engineering or a related engineering discipline

Proficiency in work programme (e.g. CPM,Microsoft Project, Primavera,AutoCAD, or similar applications)

Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction methodologies, and industry standards

Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across departments

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information clearly to diverse audiences

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis

Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel for site inspections when required

Professional engineering certifications (PE, PEng, or equivalent) are advantageous

Experience in infrastructure, construction, or manufacturing projects is highly desirable
