Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a shipbuilding or ship repair environment.
  • Familiarity with ship structures, systems, and construction methods.
  • Experience working with classification societies and project teams.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating project activities between design, procurement, production, and inspection teams.
  • Support the Project Manager in ensuring milestones and client requirements are met.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and coordinate with stakeholders on-site.
  • Review drawings, technical specifications, and work packages for accuracy and constructability.
  • Resolve technical queries during project execution in collaboration with design and classification societies.
  • Provide input for material take-off, scope verification, and job sequencing.
  • Ensure works are carried out according to technical specifications, quality standards, and safety procedures.
  • Verify and sign off on completed works and tests in accordance with inspection test plans
  • Enforce compliance with company HSE policies and site safety rules.
  • Maintain project documentation such as technical logs, as-built records, work progress reports, and NCRs.
  • Support preparation of handover documents and final project dossiers.
  • Attend project meetings and provide technical input as required.

Job description

To support the planning, coordination, execution, and monitoring of shipbuilding and ship repair projects by ensuring that engineering, production, and quality requirements are met in accordance with project specifications, timelines, and safety standards.
