Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Project Manager to lead electrical projects (MV/LV switchgear, CRP, SCADA, RTU, HMI, DC systems). You will oversee delivery, installation and commissioning, ensuring profitability and compliance with safety and quality standards.

The role requires 3–5 years in project management for electrical projects, proficiency in MS Office and Project, and willingness to travel locally and globally. AutoCAD experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of project management experience in electrical projects.
• Proficient with MS Office and project scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical projects focused on MV/LV switchgear, CRP, SCADA, RTU, HMI and DC systems.
• Oversee delivery, installation and commissioning to ensure profitability and cash flow.
• Coordinate with vendors, factories and clients to ensure project success.
• Identify risks, ensure safety standards, and maintain quality controls.
• Prepare reports, schedules and drawings for client approval.

You’ll make a difference in:

• Project Management: Manage electrical projects with a focus on Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) switchgears, including Control Relay Panels (CRP), SCADA, RTU, HMI, DC systems, and other related equipment.
• Project Delivery and Financial Management: Oversee the supply, design, delivery, installation, and commissioning of projects while ensuring profitability by meeting revenue targets and maintaining positive cash flow.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate effectively with project stakeholders including vendors, manufacturers, and clients to ensure successful project completion.
• Risk and Quality Control: Identify and mitigate project risks while ensuring that deliverables meet the highest quality and safety standards.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and present project reports, schedules, technical documentation, drawings, and other related documents for client approval and internal use.
• Global Travel and Commitment: Willingness to travel locally and globally to client sites, factories, and vendors, and work extra hours when needed to meet project deadlines.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all site activities comply with established safety standards and requirements.

Your success is grounded in:

• Qualifications: Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Project Management, primarily focused on electrical projects.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project; familiarity with CT calculations, AC/DC load, and heat dissipation calculations; AutoCAD experience is an advantage.
• Travel Requirements: Ability to travel locally and globally to Siemens vendors, factories, client premises, and project sites as required.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work extra hours to complete project tasks when necessary.
• Safety Oversight: Capability to oversee, evaluate, and ensure compliance with site safety standards and requirements.
• Mobility: Possession of own transport and the readiness to travel as needed.
