Job summary

Siemens Energy seeks an Instrumentation & Control engineer to lead I&C activities across power plant projects. You will design hardware and software, perform FAT, oversee erection and commissioning, and ensure compliance with standards and timelines.

Role is primarily office-based with periodic site assignments for FAT and commissioning. Fluency in English and strong cross-team collaboration are essential for success in global projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Exposure to instrumentation and control systems, with hands-on experience in control system design, programming, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with end-to-end project engineering processes, including FAT, installation, and commissioning, plus understanding of project management practices.
• Fluent in spoken and written English, able to collaborate across international project teams, customers, and vendors.

You'll be the specialized know-how owner for the discipline, ensuring every solution is technically sound, cost-effective, and fully compliant with relevant standards and project requirements. This role is primarily office-based, with periodic site assignments as required for FAT and commissioning activities.

How You'll Make An Impact

• Assess and draft technical realization of project requirements within the I&C discipline, including design documentation
• Dimension elements, components, or software through calculation or specification, and document required technical proofs
• Act as the specialized know-how owner for the I&C discipline, providing subject-matter expertise to the project team
• Collaborate with specialists across Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil disciplines to coordinate technical interfaces
• Execute hardware and software design, FAT, erection, installation, commissioning, and after-sales services for I&C systems
• Support the Project Engineer in coordinating with customers and sub-contractors, managing technical aspects, and ensuring compliance with standards and project timelines

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Control Systems, or a related field, or equivalent.
• Exposure to instrumentation and control systems, ideally within the energy or power generation sector, with hands‑on experience in control system design, programming, and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with end‑to‑end project engineering processes, including basic/detail engineering, FAT, installation, and commissioning, along with an understanding of project management practices
• Fluent in spoken and written English, with the ability to collaborate effectively across international project teams, customers, and vendors
• Working knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations applicable to I&C engineering
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills, with a collaborative approach to cross‑discipline coordination and technical problem‑solving

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.
