Job summary

Gateway Search Pte Ltd is seeking an on-site commissioning and after-sales engineer for high-voltage UPS battery systems in Malaysia. You will troubleshoot issues that arise during commissioning and after-sales support while engaging with customers on-site and handling inquiries with clarity.

You will also provide technical input for pre-sales activities, collaborate with the sales team, and train customers on technology, usage, and installation.

Qualifications

• Over 1 year of after-sales experience in energy storage.
• Familiarity with high-voltage BMS fault analysis and failure modes.
• Knowledge of UPS, batteries, and electrical principles.

• Responsible for on-site commissioning and after-sales service of high-voltage UPS battery products for customers.
• Troubleshoot and promptly address any issues that arise with products during commissioning or after-sales service.
• Communicate effectively with customers on-site, resolving inquiries and meeting reasonable requests.
• Conduct technical discussions with major clients and project stakeholders, supporting the sales team with pre-sales technical assistance, including technical consulting, solution design, product demonstrations, and more.
• Provide training for customers on technology, product usage, and installation.
• Gather user requirements, collect information on competitor products, and provide suggestions for product improvement.
• Complete other tasks assigned by the company or management.

Job Requirements:

• Over one year of after-sales experience in energy storage, with familiarity in high-voltage BMS fault analysis and failure mode analysis preferred.
• Knowledge of UPS, batteries, electrical principles, etc., with a background in the new energy industry as a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Proficiency in Mandarin to effectively communicate with counterparts in China.
