CPI (Penang) is seeking a project leader to coordinate multi-department efforts from design to manufacturing. You will oversee task delegation, ensure on-time delivery, and manage project KPI through detailed planning and communication.
The role requires a technical background in mechanical engineering, strong reading/interpreting of prints, and experience with APQP/PPAP processes. You're expected to drive continuous improvement and coordinate with customers and suppliers.
As project leader, to delegate certain task/assignment to its core team members in relation to the project deliverables.
Has the authority to initiate or stop sample build production/shipment based on customer’s project requirement and commitment.
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical engineering field or Diploma holder with over 2 years working experience in any engineering industry.
Must possess the ability to read and interpret prints/specs, technical report writing and organizational/management skills.
Ability to handle multiple priorities, stress, detailed work, reasoning, deadlines. Must be flexible, analytical, and posses excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with multiple departments and working independently.
Responsible for project planning, project Gantt Chart, internal and external communication, conducting and coordinating the technical and management aspect of the projects.
Accountable for the successful completion of NPI projects.
Assist design team in the preparation of engineering project proposals, DFM.
Participating in customer/contractors meetings and resolve customer/engineering and management project issues.
BOM preparation thru detail project matrix creation.
Assist in APQP and PPAP compiling.
Coordinate and checking of engineering deliverables thru project KPI.
Proccess and coordinate of customer/internal ECN implementation.
Report to superior (Sr. Engineer/ Section Head/Asst. Manager) in a timely manner of any important aspects and problem related to assigned responsibilities.
May be assigned tasks in other work areas by the superior as and when required.
To perform additional task assigned by Engineering Manager.
