The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® is seeking a Design and Construction Executive in Malaysia. The role supports the Head of Project Management in cafe openings, revamps, and ad-hoc projects, with responsibilities spanning risk assessment, site administration, stakeholder coordination, and QA/QC.

Responsibilities

• Identify risks on the project and plan contingency measures.
• Manage site administration of construction contracts/drawings and liaise with agencies for licenses and permits.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to determine site requirements and plan accordingly.
• Ensure workmanship quality, address non-conformances, and coordinate with contractors.
• Coordinate with Consultants on technical drawings for all trades and liaise with designers and authorities on QA/QC.
• Assist defect rectification during the Defect Liability Period and ensure timely resolution.
• Handle administrative tasks as required by the Project team.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® is seeking a Design and Construction Executive in Malaysia. The position holder will assist the Head of Project Manager in all matters pertaining to the overall project management and development process, including the new cafe opening, cafe revamping and any other ad‑hoc project assigned.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Identify possible risks on the project and plan for contingency measures.
• Be responsible for proper site administration of construction contracts/drawings and liaise with relevant agencies and statutory bodies related to necessary licenses and permits.
• Work with the various stakeholders to identify the site requirements and plan accordingly.
• Ensure good workmanship provided by contractors, check on any reported non‑conformances and corrections to all non‑conformances.
• Coordinate with Consultants on technical drawings for all trades.
• Liaise with designer, contractors, authorities and project consultants on all technical, QA/QC and day‑to‑day operations to ensure conformance to project quality plan and specifications.
• Ensure good workmanship provided by contractors, check on any reported non‑conformances and corrections to all non‑conformances.
• Assist the Project Handover team in managing defect rectification during the Defect Liability Period (DLP) & ensure the defect is resolved within the agreed timeframe.
• Complete other administrative tasks as required by the Project team.
• Bachelor's Degree in Interior Architecture and Design.
• 4+ years of project and design experience in the retail industry or a comparable retail environment and experience in business development is an advantage.
• Proven adaptability in unstructured or fluid work environments.
• Proven, effective interpersonal and communication skills, able to present information, influence decisions and work with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated organizational skills, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
