Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Architect to manage projects from conceptual design through final completion. You will liaise with clients, consultants, authorities, contractors and suppliers for design coordination, submissions and technical issues.

Join the technical team in design development and detailing, review and ensure compliance with building codes and project requirements. You will attend CCMs and site meetings, and participate in inspections to ensure quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Master in Architecture or LAM Part II is required for this position.
• 4–6 years of experience in architectural consultancy.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Revit and Microsoft Office.
• Strong knowledge of architectural design and detailing.
• Familiar with building codes, PAM Contract and authority submissions & guidelines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong problem solving.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; capable of working independently or in a team.

To review design, authority submission, tender and construction drawings to ensure compliance with therelevant building codes, authorities’ requirements, design intention and client’s requirements.

To attend/chair CCMs, Site Meetings & Design Coordination/Technical Meetings and prepare meeting minutes.

To attend site inspection during construction to ensure good quality of workmanship.

Requirements

• Master in Architecture/LAM Part II is required for this position.
• At least 4 - 6 years of working experience in architectural consultancy field.
