Job summary

Mxway Sdn Bhd in Kuching, Sarawak is seeking an experienced PLC Programmer to design, program, troubleshoot and support PLC-based control systems for conveyor applications.

The role involves configuring PLC controllers, reading schematics, and supporting testing, commissioning, and on-site troubleshooting; travel within Malaysia required. Training will be provided; candidate should have 3–5 years of relevant experience and a diploma or higher in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics/Automation.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' PLC programming and industrial automation experience.

• Experience with conveyor systems and Mitsubishi PLCs is a plus.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced PLC Programmer to join our team in Kuching, Sarawak. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, troubleshooting, and supporting PLC-based control systems for conveyor applications.

Training will be provided.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, test, and troubleshoot PLC programs for conveyor systems.
• Configure and support PLC controllers and related control equipment. Experience with Mitsubishi PLCs is an added advantage.
• Diagnose and resolve issues involving PLC programs, control systems, sensors, motors, and other automation equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical and control schematics.
• Support system testing, commissioning, and on-site troubleshooting.
• Work independently and coordinate with the project team when required.
• Travel within Malaysia for project-related work when necessary.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in PLC programming and industrial automation.
• Diploma or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field.
• Proven experience working with conveyor systems.
• Hands-on experience with PLCs and controllers. Experience with Mitsubishi PLCs is an added advantage.
• Able to troubleshoot PLC programs, control systems, and related equipment independently.
• Able to read and understand electrical and control schematics.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Willing to travel within Malaysia when required.
• Candidates must be eligible to work in Sarawak.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary: RM5,000 – RM6,000 per month
• Salary will be based on experience and technical capability.
• Training will be provided.
