Job summary

Flex is seeking a Program Management Director located in Prai, Penang. The role focuses on developing corporate policies, directing cross-functional activities, and delivering quality programs to external customers to drive growth and customer satisfaction.

You will guide strategic plans, set timelines, coordinate with clients and internal teams, and support negotiations and business development to expand Flex’s product and service offerings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or sciences; MBA preferred.
• Typically requires 7 years of progressively advancing program management and/or business development experience.
• Ability to work with internal teams and executive management as well as external customers.
• Demonstrates mastery of functional knowledge and strong negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the program team by guiding strategic plans, goals, timelines, and success measures for implementing Flex products and services.
• Act as the primary contact between the business and its clients, overseeing scheduling and delivery for assigned accounts.
• Coordinate with client and Flex operations to define data requirements, production schedule, and deliverables.
• Drive business development activities, support major contract negotiations, and provide input for new opportunities.
• Monitor quarterly business reviews and recruit/retain a qualified workforce.

Job Summary

Responsible for developing corporate, global, and organizational policies, and directing cross functional activities to deliver quality programs to external customers, with the overall focus to ensure customer satisfaction and retention to generate growth for the business. To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Program Management Director located in Prai, Penang.

What a typical day looks like:

• Support the program team in the guidance of clients by developing strategic plans, goals, timelines, and measures of success for implementing contracted Flex’s products and services.
• Act as the primary point of contact between the business and its clients.
• Oversee the scheduling, coordination and implementation of contracted Flex’s products and services for assigned clients.
• Coordinate with the client and Flex operations to define data requirements, production schedule and deliverables as required.
• Ensure effective communication of strategy as required between cross functional teams to ensure project / product or service has a smooth and timely transition through all phases of documented development processes.
• Work with the Director and Management team about coordination of team members to ensure key metrics are monitored per account and that customer satisfaction is closely monitored.
• Innovate and authorize projects using broad and far vision and expertise in customer requirements to improve and/or extend the value proposition to existing customers, linking them more firmly to Flex.
• Participate in and/or support major contract negotiations.
• Be responsible to drive, collaborate and steer business development activities to win replacement and growth business.
• Provide business proposal support and inputs for existing and new business.
• Monitor and support the program team to ensure an effective use of and participation in Quarterly Business Review process.
• Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• A Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or sciences; MBA is preferred.
• Typically requires 7 years of progressively advancing program management and/or business development experience.
• Ability to work with internal teams and executive management as well as external customers to maximize mutual benefit.
• Demonstrates mastery of functional knowledge in relation to other functions and a complete understanding of the function and those of related businesses.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully influence senior level management, executives and key clients.
• Strong negotiation skills required.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
• Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
• Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.
• Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference to practical situations.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
