Job summary

Sri Nona Food Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to uphold equipment reliability across our food production lines. You will perform routine inspections, diagnose mechanical issues, and implement preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.

Collaborating with quality assurance and production supervisors, you will ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environment requirements and help drive continuous improvement across the manufacturing facility.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering and/or minimum of 2 years’ experience in manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in food manufacturing or similar industries.
• Familiar with problem-solving tools.
• Knowledgeable about Health, Safety, and Environment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety protocols, minimize workplace hazards, and maintain a safe work environment.
• Report accidents/incidents/near misses to identify root causes and propose corrective actions.
• Ensure machinery and equipment operate correctly to contribute to high-quality products.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and address potential issues before breakdowns.
• Assist with setup and operation of machinery for production runs.
• Attend and contribute to meetings related to the production line.

What will you do?

Comply with the safety protocols, minimize workplace hazards, and maintain a safe work environment. Promote industrial harmony and ensure compliance with all labour laws.

Report any accident/incident/near miss to identify the root cause and propose corrective/preventive actions.

Quality Management

Ensuring that machinery is operating correctly and contributing to the production of high-quality food products.

General Management

Performing routine maintenance checks on machinery and equipment to identify and address potential issues before they escalation into breakdowns.

Diagnosing and resolving problems with mechanical systems and equipment, often involving electrical and hydraulic aspects.

Repairing or replacing faulty components, ensuring equipment is restored to optimal functionality.

Implementing and executing preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.

Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including equipment settings and production data.

Working with other team members, such as quality assurance personnel and production supervisors, to address production issues.

Assisting with the setup and operation of machinery and equipment for specific production runs.

Ensure team attend and contribute to relevant meeting related to the individual production line.

About you?

Functional Skills and Capabilities required

Strong mechanical aptitude, understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues effectively.

Knowledge of safety regulations and guidelines, and the ability to follow them.

Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians.

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in food manufacturing or similar industries.

Familiar with and experienced in using problem-solving tools.

Knowledgeable about Health, Safety, and Environment requirements.

Requirement
