NEFAB Penang is seeking a Thermoforming Production Technician to support thermoforming process setup, operation and troubleshooting. The role involves assisting Production Manager on continuous improvement and maintenance, and passing on best practices with a hands-on, energetic attitude.

Requirements include a minimum diploma in a related field and at least two years in thermoforming, with knowledge of plastics and ability to read drawings. Bi-lingual capabilities are desirable.

Qualificações

• Minimum diploma in related field or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of thermoforming experience.
• Experience in high-low volume manufacturing.
• Understanding of plastics (PE, PP, PET).
• Ability to read drawings and use hand tools.
• Bi-lingual capabilities desirable (English/Other).

Responsabilidades

• Perform machine setup & changeovers.
• Oversee production runs; monitor cycle times; adjust parameters.
• Inspect finished parts against quality specs.
• Identify root causes of defects; report major issues.
• Perform daily equipment checks; maintain clean workspace.
• Assist with preventive maintenance.
• Contribute to cost-effective production via continuous improvement.

JOB SUMMARY

We are strengthening our team in Penang with Thermoforming Production Technician to support the thermoforming process set up, operates, and products troubleshooting. To assist and support Production Manager for continuous improvement activities and machineries maintenance. This would be a great position for someone who has specialty in thermoforming process, has excellent technical skills and who takes strong initiative in implementing best practices. This position requires a hands-on individual with a positive and energetic attitude.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performing machine setup & changeovers.
• Oversee continuous production runs, check cycle times, and adjust machine parameters to prevent defects.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure producto match with Quality specifications.
• Identify root causes for Quality defect, and feedback to manager when major issues arise.
• Perform daily equipment checks, maintain clean workspace standards.
• Assist with preventive maintenance
• Ensure the cost-effective by continuous improvement in production.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

Minimum diploma in related field or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

• Candidate must have minimum two (2) years' experience in Thermoforming process.
• Significant work experience in a high-low volume manufacturing environment
• Understanding of plastic materials (such as PE, PP, PET)
• Ability to use hand tools, read drawings, and perform basic forming tools repairs.

LANGUAGES

• Bi-Lingual Capabilities Desirable (English/Other)

SKILLS AND COMPETENCES

• A good Team player
• Knowledge in machine mechanical and electrical is an added advantage.
