Job summary

TPG OIL & GAS SDN BHD is seeking a skilled operator to run and monitor unit operations including reactors and separators. You will perform transesterification to convert feedstocks into biodiesel and glycerol, adjust temperatures, pressures and flow rates to optimize yield and quality, and report any malfunctions.

The role requires SCADA experience, in-process quality testing and documentation on log sheets.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Technology or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a process manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of chemical processes and ability to follow SOPs.
• Willingness to work in shift schedule and perform overtime.
• SCADA operation and field log/utility log documentation experience.

• Operate and monitor reactors, wash columns, dryers, separators, reboiler, chiller and steam separators.
• Perform transesterification to convert feedstocks into biodiesel and glycerol.

• Take raw material and product samples.

Perform the transesterification process to convert feedstocks into biodiesel and glycerol

Adjust process variables (temperature, pressure, flow rates) to optimize yield, quality and efficiency

Identify and report equipment malfunctions, process upsets and potential hazards

SCADA operation, in process quality testing and accurately fill field log sheet, SCADA log sheets and utility log sheet

Raw material and product sampling

Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment

Requirements :

Minimum Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Technology or equivalent

At least 2 years of experience in a process manufacturing environment (chemical, petrochemical, biofuels or similar)

Basic understanding of chemical processes and the ability to follow complex SOPs

Ability to work in shift schedule and perform overtime
