Job summary

TPG OIL & GAS SDN BHD is seeking a Diploma-qualified engineer to operate and monitor biodiesel production units in Johor. The role includes managing reactors and separators, performing transesterification, and ensuring process control.

You will adjust temperatures, pressures, and flow rates to optimize yield, while maintaining safety, logging data in SCADA, and sampling materials. Shift work and overtime are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Technology or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a process manufacturing environment (chemical, petrochemical, biofuels or similar).
• Basic understanding of chemical processes and the ability to follow complex SOPs.
• Ability to work in shift schedule and perform overtime.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor various unit operations including reactors, wash columns, dryers separators, reboiler, chiller and steam separators
• Perform the transesterification process to convert feedstocks into biodiesel and glycerol
• Adjust process variables (temperature, pressure, flow rates) to optimize yield, quality and efficiency
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions, process upsets and potential hazards
• SCADA operation, in process quality testing and accurately fill field log sheet, SCADA log sheets and utility log sheet
• Raw material and product sampling
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
