Job summary

Mi Material (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Production Team Leader to supervise production operators, allocate manpower, and ensure adherence to SOPs, work instructions and safety rules on a shift basis.

The role requires monitoring output, quality, and process compliance, with authority to halt unsafe work and escalate safety concerns. You will collaborate with multiple departments and support training and performance management.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a team leader role.
• Experience with production/manufacturing operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating production operators and manpower allocation.
• Monitoring production output, productivity, quality and process compliance.
• Ensuring employees follow Company SOPs, work instructions and safety requirements.
• Acting as the first-level safety person-in-charge during the assigned shift, including monitoring PPE, safe work practices, housekeeping and workplace hazards.
• Immediately reporting accidents, near misses, unsafe conditions and other safety issues to the relevant department/management.
• Having the authority to stop or suspend unsafe work where there is an immediate safety risk and escalating the matter to EHS/Management.
• Coordinating meal/rest breaks on a staggered basis to maintain operational coverage where required.
• Conducting proper shift handover and ensuring production, quality and safety information is communicated to the incoming team.
• Supporting employee training, coaching and performance management.
• Ensuring accurate attendance, overtime and production records.
• Cooperating with Production, Quality, Engineering, EHS, HR and other departments.
• Supporting the Company's RBA, occupational safety, environmental and ethical workplace requirements.
• Performing other reasonable duties assigned by Management.
