Job summary

TE Connectivity Manufacturing Malaysia is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations at the Perai Plant in Penang, ensuring targets are met with safety, quality, and efficiency. The role demands strong leadership to manage production teams and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily activities, monitoring schedules and resources, enforcing safety standards, and developing operators for performance.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP systems.
• Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage to communicate

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to achieve output and quality goals.
• Monitor production schedules, resources, and manpower allocation to ensure smooth operations.
• Enforce safety and compliance standards within the production area.
• Lead, coach, and develop production operators and line leaders for improved performance.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve production issues.
• Prepare and review production reports, ensuring accuracy in data tracking and documentation.
• Support lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
• Manage 200 - 300 headcount per shift in the production.
