Job summary

FUTURE FOOD SDN. BHD. is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily bakery production, ensuring targets, quality, and food safety compliance. The role involves supervising staff, managing schedules, and maintaining smooth operations.

You will monitor HACCP/GMP compliance, maintain clean and safe production areas, and report on production performance and issues to management. Relevant experience in bakery production is preferred.

Job description

To oversee and manage daily bakery production operations, ensuring production targets, product quality, food safety standards and company procedures are consistently met. The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising production staff, managing production schedules and ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Production Management

Plan, coordinate and monitor daily bakery production activities to meet production targets.

Ensure production schedules are followed and production output meets requirements.

Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and minimise downtime.

Identify and resolve production issues to ensure smooth operations.

B. Team Supervision

Supervise and manage production staff to ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently.

Assign duties and allocate manpower according to production requirements.

Monitor staff performance, attendance, productivity and work discipline.

Provide training and guidance to production staff.

Ensure sufficient manpower is available to meet production targets.

C. Quality Control & Food Safety

Ensure all bakery products meet the company's quality standards and specifications.

Monitor production processes to prevent product defects and maintain consistency.

Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, food safety and hygiene requirements.

Ensure production areas are clean, organised and properly maintained.

Take corrective action and report any quality or food safety issues.

D. Equipment & Material Management

Ensure production equipment and machinery are operated safely and properly maintained.

Monitor raw material usage and ensure sufficient stock for daily production.

Ensure proper storage and handling of raw materials according to FIFO/FEFO procedures.

Minimise material wastage, product loss and equipment downtime.

Report equipment breakdowns and material shortages to management.

E. Production Documentation & Reporting

Monitor and maintain accurate daily production records and reports.

Record production output, wastage, rejects and downtime.

Prepare production reports and update management on production performance.

Report production issues, delays and non-compliance to management.

F. Workplace Safety & Compliance

Ensure all production staff comply with workplace safety rules and company policies.

Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Maintain a safe and organised production environment.

Report workplace hazards, accidents and safety incidents to management.
