VIVAX METROTECH SDN. BHD. is seeking a Production Supervisor in Batu Kawan, Penang to supervise and coordinate electronic product assembly, ensuring quality, efficiency and safety while optimizing resources.
The role collaborates with production planners, QA and engineering to meet schedules, enforce ESD and cleanroom standards, drive continuous improvement with Lean Manufacturing and 5S, and maintain accurate work instructions and batch records.
The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the assembly operations of electronic products. This role ensures production meets quality, efficiency, and safety standards while optimizing resources and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise day-to-day assembly activities for finished goods, including PCBA handling, assembly, testing, and packaging.
Coordinate with production planners to meet daily and weekly production schedules.
Ensure adherence to ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) controls and cleanroom standards, where applicable.
Maintain high standards of product quality through in-line inspections and process monitoring.
Train and evaluate team members on assembly processes, safety procedures, and handling of sensitive electronic components.
Collaborate with quality assurance and engineering teams to resolve technical and process-related issues.
Monitor and report on productivity, downtime, and first-pass yield; take corrective actions where necessary.
Ensure all production documentation, including work instructions and batch records, is followed accurately.
Support implementation of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor.
Enforce compliance with all company policies, industry regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, IPC standards), and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
8 years and above of supervisory experience in electronic and mechanical assembly industry
Strong understanding of electronic assembly processes including functional testing, and final product assembly.
Proficient in using ERP systems and basic production reporting tools.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
