Job summary

Pivotal Systems (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Kedah is seeking a Production Planner to develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules for CNC machining operations, with emphasis on capacity utilization and on-time delivery.

You will coordinate with production supervisors, liaise with procurement, review engineering drawings, track WIP, and prepare KPI reports to optimise throughput and lead times.

Qualifications

• Degree in related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in planning related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong sense of teamwork and communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English, Mandarin for client communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules for CNC machining operations.
• Plan machine loading and capacity utilization for CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines.
• Coordinate with production supervisors to ensure smooth execution of schedules.
• Monitor WIP and adjust plans based on machine availability, material shortages, or urgent orders.
• Liaise with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials, tooling, and consumables.
• Review engineering drawings and job requirements to ensure accurate routing and process planning.
• Track production performance and delivery timelines; address delays or bottlenecks.
• Maintain accurate records in ERP/MRP systems.
• Collaborate with quality and engineering to resolve production issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.
• Prepare reports on production status, capacity planning, and KPIs.
• Other ad hoc tasks/projects as assigned.

Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules for CNC machining operations

Plan machine loading and capacity utilization for CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines

Coordinate with production supervisors to ensure smooth execution of schedules

Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) and adjust plans based on machine availability, material shortages, or urgent orders

Liaise with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials, tooling, and consumables

Review engineering drawings and job requirements to ensure accurate routing and process planning

Track production performance and delivery timelines; proactively address delays or bottlenecks

Maintain accurate records in ERP/MRP systems.

Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to resolve production issues

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times

Other adhoc task/project as assigned by superior from time to time.

Requirements:

Degree in any related discipline.

Minimum 3 years of experience in planning related field.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel , Purchasing/ ERP system, and PowerPoint

Strong sense of team cooperation.

Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English, Mandarin to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.

Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
