Job summary

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed production schedules from orders, forecasts, and material availability.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Warehouse for timely raw materials.
• Monitor daily progress and adjust schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
• Balance demand and capacity to avoid shortages and waste.
• Collaborate with Production, QA, and Engineering to ensure quality.
• Update production data in SAP B1.
• Analyse trends, capacity utilization, and lead times to reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, GMP, and SOPs.
• Prepare production performance reports and variance analysis.
• Undertake job transfers or ad-hoc assignments as needed.

JOB SUMMARY

The Production Planner is responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling production schedules at Fulijaya Manufacturing. This role ensures optimum utilisation of resources, timely order fulfilment, and alignment between production, procurement, and warehouse functions. The position requires SAP B1 proficiency, strong analytical ability, and deep understanding of manufacturing processes. The Production Planner must balance efficiency with continuity—planning enough to meet customer demand and mitigate supply chain disruptions, while avoiding overproduction and waste.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and issue detailed production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, and material availability.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Warehouse to ensure timely supply of raw materials and packaging.
• Monitor daily production progress, identify bottlenecks, and adjust schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain optimum balance between demand and capacity—planning enough to avoid shortages while preventing overproduction that leads to waste.
• Collaborate with Production, QA, and Engineering teams to ensure smooth workflow and compliance with quality standards.
• Update and maintain accurate production data in SAP B1 system.
• Analyse production trends, capacity utilisation, and lead times to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, GMP, and internal SOPs.
• Prepare production performance reports and variance analysis for management review.
• Undertake job transfers or ad-hoc assignments when required by business needs.

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Education: Diploma / Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Production Planning, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in production planning within the manufacturing industry.
• Professional Certificate / License:
  • SAP B1 system (mandatory)
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
  • Knowledge of GMP standard
• Added Advantage: Degree or background in Chemical or Science stream.
