Job summary

FL PRECISION (M) SDN.BHD in Malaysia seeks a Production Planner to prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans, develop schedules based on orders and deadlines, and allocate orders to machines and manpower.

You will monitor progress, adjust plans for urgent orders, coordinate with Purchasing and Warehouse for materials, check material availability, minimize waste, monitor WIP, and ensure delivery commitments.

Job description

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans.

Develop production schedules based on customer orders and delivery deadlines.

Allocate production orders to machines, production lines, and manpower.

Monitor production progress to ensure schedules are achieved.

Adjust production plans according to urgent orders or unexpected changes.

2. Material Planning & Inventory Control

Coordinate with Purchasing and Warehouse departments to ensure material availability.

Check raw material availability before releasing production orders.

Monitor material shortages and follow up on delayed deliveries.

Ensure materials are available according to the production schedule.

Minimize excess inventory and material wastage.

3. Production Monitoring

Monitor daily production output against planned targets.

Identify production delays, bottlenecks, and capacity issues.

Follow up with Production Supervisors on outstanding production orders.

Coordinate corrective actions to recover delayed production schedules.

Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) and production completion status.

4. Customer Order & Delivery Coordination

Review customer orders and delivery requirements.

Ensure production plans meet customer delivery commitments.

Coordinate with Sales and Customer Service on delivery schedules.

Provide updates on production status and potential delivery delays.

Prioritize urgent and critical customer orders.

Any operational matters, management decisions, or responsibilities beyond the planning scope shall be referred to and determined by the Production Manager.
