Job summary

PENANG AUTOMATION CLUSTER SDN BHD is seeking a detail-oriented planner to develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity. The role requires coordinating production workflow, identifying bottlenecks, and ensuring timely delivery across multiple parts.

You will collaborate with OQA, IQC, Store and Production to resolve issues and minimize disruption.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Business Management or Supply Chain or equivalent.
• 3–4 years of related experience, preferably in metal fabrication/manufacturing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication.
• Strong understanding of production flow, capacity planning and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule based on sales forecast, inventory levels and capacity.
• Identify bottlenecks, delays or quality issues in the production process.
• Plan and coordinate production workflow for one or more parts; prioritize operations to minimize delays.
• Collaborate with Q.A. (OQA/IQA), Store and Production to complete assigned tasks.
• Provide timely updates on customer forecast KPIs and On-Time Delivery performance.
• Communicate ETA matters with customers' buyers and update delays with reasons.
• Ensure documentation is filled in an orderly and retrievable manner.

Job description

To develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule based on sales forecast, inventory levels, and production capacity.

To identify bottlenecks , delays, or quality issues in the production process.

To perform planning, prepare schedule for production lines and coordinate production workflow for one or multiple parts.

To plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay of output.

To follow up issues of quality or delivery with department supervisors when issues arise with the aim to minimize disruption.

To obtain output information e.g. number or finished parts and percentage of defectives parts.

To collaborate with OQA, IQC, Store, Production and other supporting functions to accomplish assignments of jobs.

To provide management with timely updates on customer forecast KPIs and On Time Delivery (OTD) performance.

To communicate with customer's buyers for any ETA matters and update customers the new ETA with reasons of delay on a timely basis.

To ensure that documentation is filled in an orderly manner and is easily retrievable when required.

To perform any other duties assigned by supervisor or manager from time to time.

Job Requirements

Candidates must possess at least a Diploma/ Degree in Business Management/ Supply Chain Management or an equivalent qualification.

A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a related field is required, preferably within the metal fabrication manufacturing industry.

Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills.

Strong understanding of production flow, capacity planning, and inventory management.
