Job summary

Molex Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks a Material Handling & Packing Supervisor to lead material flow across production and support teams. You will drive inventory accuracy, ensure timely material delivery, and optimize line feeding, packing, and related processes to meet customer requirements and shipping schedules.

You will manage manpower across shifts, enforce standards, and partner with cross-functional teams to continuously improve cost efficiency and operational performance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years in materials, warehouse, logistics or supply chain in manufacturing; 3+ years in supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead material handling and internal logistics across production and support departments.
• Oversee line feeding, kitting, and internal material movement with traceability.
• Optimize manpower and equipment like forklifts and racking to meet schedules.
• Lead Packing department to meet customer specs and daily shipping plans.
• Ensure packing output, quality, and labeling comply with standards.
• Plan manpower, materials, and layout to meet on-time delivery while controlling costs.
• Drive inventory accuracy via ERP transactions and cycle counts.
• Record goods receipt, issue, and transfer in SAP/ERP accurately.
• Forecast manpower needs and manage shifts; control attendance and overtime.
• Lead continuous improvement: lean, 6S, Kaizen; reduce waste and lead time.
• Evaluate automation, layout redesign, and pull/Kanban systems.
