Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead a medium-size facility (200-300+ staff) in Johor. You will oversee EH&S, production planning, processes, maintenance, quality and inventory control, while guiding a cross-functional team across production, engineering, maintenance, QA, warehousing and logistics.

You will monitor day-to-day performance, drive cost reductions, implement process improvements and ensure safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in technical discipline (Engineering / Science or related).
• Overall 8-10+ years’ experience in manufacturing operations.
• 3-5 years in a managerial or leadership role overseeing Production, Engineering, and Quality teams.
• Manufacturing experience in Precision Machining, Sheet Metal Fabrication, Metal Stamping, Wire Harness / Cable / Interconnect solutions or related EMS/ plastics.

Responsibilities

• Manage manufacturing operations and 200-300+ headcount.
• Oversee environmental health & safety, production planning, maintenance, quality and inventory control.
• Lead production/engineering/maintenance/QA, warehousing/logistics and planning teams.
• Plan, monitor and analyze key metrics to ensure on-time, cost-effective output.

Manage manufacturing operation of a medium-size factory (200-300+ headcount)

Responsible for the overall operations of the manufacturing facility including environmental health & safety, production planning, manufacturing processes and output, maintenance, quality and inventory control.

Manage a team for production / engineering / maintenance / QA, warehousing / logistic and planning departments

Plan, monitor, analyze and propose solutions for key metrics on the day-to-day performance of the operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks and alignment with production planning requirements

Devise strategies to ensure growth of programs; identifying and implementing process improvements and cost reduction methods that will maximize output and minimize costs

Responsible for managing the site safety and environmental compliance programs and for ensuring that all employees adhere to these policies

Controls quality assurance, cost of production, warehousing, receiving and shipping of all materials

Works closely with cross-functional peers to support company-wide business initiatives.

Support direct contact with customers on complaints and service matters as required.

Identify training needs and ensure proper training is developed and provided

Job Requirements

Diploma / Degree in technical discipline (Engineering / Science or related)

Overall 8-10+ years’ experience in manufacturing operations, preferably with OEM or contract manufacturer

3-5 years in a managerial or leadership role overseeing Production, Engineering, and Quality teams

Manufacturing experience in ANY of these industry : Precision Machining / Sheet Metal Fabrication / Metal Stamping OR Wire Harness / Cable / Interconnect solution OR related industry (eg, EMS, Plastic Injection Moulding, etc)
