Job summary

Jora Malaysia seeks a Production Manager to oversee manufacturing operations, ensuring targets, quality, safety, and cost objectives are met. You will lead the production team and drive productivity improvements across the plant.

The role requires 5+ years in production management, strong planning and people leadership, and solid knowledge of Lean practices and ERP/MRP systems. Join a facility focused on efficiency and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in production/manufacturing management.
Strong experience in production planning, manpower management, and process improvement.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, OEE, quality, and safety practices.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems is an advantage.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Plan and oversee daily production activities to achieve output and delivery targets.
Manage production manpower, materials, machinery, and overall workflow.
Lead, motivate, and develop production supervisors and operators.
Monitor production performance, quality, downtime, and productivity.
Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Work closely with Maintenance, Quality, Procurement, and other departments to resolve operational issues.
Identify bottlenecks and implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor production costs, material usage, and inventory levels.
Analyse KPIs such as OEE, downtime, output, and productivity.
Prepare production reports and recommend improvements to management.
