Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Production Planning and Manufacturing Manager in Shah Alam. The role focuses on strategic production planning, capacity management, and resource allocation in a precision machining environment.

You will lead a production team, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and industry best practices. Strong ERP/MRP and BI skills are required, with a willingness to work at Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years in a precision machining environment with at least 2 years in a management role.
• Strong knowledge in production planning, scheduling, capacity planning and resource allocation.
• Working knowledge of MRP and ERP systems for production planning, inventory, and work orders.
• Solid technical background in mechanical engineering, machining, and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic production plans, manage capacity and allocate resources to meet demand.
• Utilise MRP/ERP for planning, material availability and scheduling.
• Lead and mentor production team including leads, operators and engineers.
• Maintain high quality standards and investigate root causes to drive corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, and Industry 4.0.
• Provide technical guidance, recommend investments in tooling, machinery and software.
• Implement preventive maintenance and promote strong safety culture.
• Track KPIs for quality, delivery, utilization and cost control using Power BI.
• Report and control production costs including manpower, tooling and energy.
