Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Production Manager/Assistant Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production runs safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively while meeting quality standards and delivery timelines.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field with at least 5 years of production management experience, strong leadership, and a proven ability to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field.
5 years of working experience in production management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement tools.
Proven track record in improving efficiency, reducing downtime, and implementing cost‑saving initiatives.
Excellent problem-solving, decision‑making, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and oversee production schedules to meet company targets.
Review weekly and monthly production planning based on forecast and budget.
Prepare and manage the annual production budget.
Work with PPIC for RM and PM planning.
Collaborate with R&D for NPD trial runs.
Manage and lead the production team to ensure smooth operations and optimal performance.
Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
Ensure adequate resources are available to meet production demands.
Maintain and improve OEE for sprayer or packing lines.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including PDCA projects for annual cost savings.
