Job summary

AFS Manufacturing Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Air Change Group, is seeking a Production Manager to drive daily manufacturing for custom HVAC and cooling systems, overseeing fabrication, assembly, and testing while coordinating with Engineering, Supply Chain and Admin.

The role requires a degreed Mechanical/Industrial Engineer, 6+ years in manufacturing leadership on the shop floor, and fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; salary will be commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 6+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Direct and optimize daily manufacturing, sheet metal fabrication, general assembly, refrigeration piping, and electrical assembly activities.
• Monitor raw materials to ensure timely delivery of copper tubes, fans, and electrical components to production lines.
• Manage labour deployment, shift rosters, machinery utilization, and material staging to minimize idle time and bottlenecking.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate supervisors, and production operators. Address attendance, performance, and line discipline in line with company HR guidelines.
• Enforce strict quality standards, perform stage-by-stage testing (leak/pressure testing, electrical, airflow), and reduce rework rates.
• Implement Lean manufacturing principles to streamline workflows and reduce waste.
• Lead site safety and environmental standards by maintaining full compliance with DOSH and DOE regulations, serving as our certified competent person for key statutory responsibilities and inspections.

About you

Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken)
