HUP SOON PLASTIC INDUSTRIAL (M) SDN BHD in Ipoh, Perak, seeks an experienced Production Manager to oversee our plastic manufacturing operations. You will ensure efficient production processes, maintain quality standards and drive continuous improvement to optimise productivity and profitability.

The role requires strong leadership, 5+ years in production management in manufacturing, and the ability to coordinate with multiple departments while upholding health, safety and ISO standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production management experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in plastics/polymers industry is beneficial.
• Diploma or degree in Engineering or Manufacturing or related field.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise daily production activities to meet production targets and delivery schedules.
• Monitor production efficiency and implement strategies to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Ensure all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements through rigorous quality control measures.
• Manage and supervise production staff, including training, scheduling and performance management.
• Maintain accurate production records, documentation and reporting for management review.
• Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and operational challenges promptly.
• Liaise with other departments including sales, procurement and logistics to ensure smooth operations.
• Implement and maintain health and safety protocols in the production facility.
• Manage equipment maintenance schedules and oversee preventive maintenance programmes.
• Analyse production costs and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
• Lead continuous improvement projects and drive operational excellence.

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join HUP SOON PLASTIC INDUSTRIAL (M) SDN BHD in Ipoh, Perak. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in overseeing and optimising our manufacturing operations. As Production Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across our plastic manufacturing facility. This role is strategically important to our business, directly impacting our operational efficiency, product quality and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise daily production activities to meet production targets and delivery schedules

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of production management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastic or polymers industry
• Proven track record of successfully managing production teams and achieving production targets
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control and production planning
• Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to make decisions under pressure
• Proficiency in production management systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Relevant qualifications such as a Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or related field
• Strong communication and leadership abilities with proven ability to motivate teams
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and ISO standards is advantageous
• Experience with Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies is preferred
• Fluency in English and Malay, both written and spoken
