Job summary

Globus Castors (M) Sdn Bhd seeks an experienced Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations at our Kulim facility. You will plan schedules, manage resources, monitor productivity, and ensure quality across all lines.

Role requires hands-on leadership, 3+ years in production/manufacturing, and strong coordination with QA and logistics. Opportunities for career growth, stability, and long-term commitment with the company.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in production or manufacturing management.
• Experience in factory operations, metalworking, machinery, engineering products, wheels/castors, or similar manufacturing industries will be an advantage.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Good understanding of production planning, quality control, inventory management, and process improvement.
• Able to communicate effectively in Mandarin/Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Good command of English will be an advantage.
• Willing to be hands-on and actively involved in day-to-day production operations.
• Strong sense of responsibility, discipline, and commitment.
• Able to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily production activities to ensure production targets and schedules are achieved.
• Plan production schedules, manpower requirements, materials, and production resources.
• Monitor production output, productivity, efficiency, and operating costs.
• Ensure products are manufactured according to required specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Warehouse, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Identify production problems, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor machinery, equipment, tools, and production facilities to ensure proper maintenance.
• Establish and improve production processes, workflows, and SOPs.
• Ensure production activities comply with company policies, safety requirements, and relevant regulations.
• Lead, train, motivate, and evaluate production staff.
• Manage manpower allocation, attendance, discipline, and overall team performance.
• Monitor inventory and raw material usage to minimize wastage and unnecessary costs.
• Prepare production reports and provide regular updates to management.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, cost efficiency, and production lead time.
• Support management in implementing new projects, machinery, processes, and operational improvements.
• Perform other production and operational duties as assigned by management.
