Job summary

Coherent Corp. in Malaysia is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a group of operators in a high-volume manufacturing environment, ensuring daily output aligns with plan, quality, and safety standards.

You will manage shift operations, material flow, equipment readiness, attendance, and continuous improvement while collaborating with other departments and maintaining ISO-compliant practices.

Qualifications

• Must have Diploma in Engineering / IE / Production Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in high-volume, high-mix production with at least 3 years in supervision.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and lean manufacturing projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of operators to meet shift targets, cost, yield and quality.
• Coordinate materials, equipment and tools to ensure output targets are achieved.
• Monitor attendance, enforce work instructions and safety policies.
• Plan and control line staffing, downtime, and line changeovers to minimize downtime.
• Chair daily production meetings and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
