Job summary

allnex is seeking a Production Intern to join the Melaka site in Malaysia. You will gain hands-on exposure to the operation of a chemical manufacturing plant and work with production and lab data while learning from a collaborative team.

You will support daily production activities, contribute to process improvements, and build foundational experience in a fast-paced chemical environment. This internship offers real-world learning and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
• Availability of at least 6 months for the internship period.
• Tech-savvy with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel/PowerPoint).
• Curious about the chemical industry and keen to learn in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Attach to Production Department on site and participate in daily operations.
• Assist with process improvement activities with the production team.
• Perform data analysis to support process/productivity improvements.
• Assist in developing and updating site production SOPs.
• Assist in creating production support documentation.

Position overview

allnex is looking for a Production Intern to join the team in our site in Melaka, Malaysia.In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain hands‑on exposure to the working of a chemical manufacturing plant. You will be involved in the continuous efforts of our production plant in Melaka, and will be working with a team who is keen to help you learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• To be attached to the Production Department on site and be involved in daily operations
• To assist with process improvement activities and work with the production team for implementation
• To perform statistical analysis and evaluation of data for process and productivity improvements
• To assist in developing and updating standard operating procedures for site production activities
• To assist in creating production support documentation including operations process and productivity

Required skills and experience

• At least 6 months of availability for the intership period
• Tech-savvy and has basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, etc.
• Meticulous and is comfotable working with data
• Curious about the chemical industry and has a genuine interest in a career in chemicals

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or any other related field of study.
