Job summary

Premium Vegetable Oils is seeking a Production Executive/Engineer – Refinery to support safe, efficient and reliable operation of the vegetable oils refinery. The role emphasizes production performance, process efficiency, cost control and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will oversee daily production activities, coordinate with Maintenance and Technical teams, and drive improvements across the plant while ensuring safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in vegetable oils refining or related process manufacturing.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Knowledge of vegetable oil refinery processes and operations.
• Experience with RBD and/or hydro plant operations is advantageous.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily production activities including planning, targets, manpower, machinery and materials.
• Monitor production performance, utility and chemical consumption.
• Reconcile production and consumption against readings and monitor stock levels.
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Technical teams to improve equipment reliability.
• Coordinate production involvement in plant turnaround planning and execution.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, quality and operational performance.
• Monitor refinery operating parameters and ensure they stay within limits.
• Ensure housekeeping and workplace cleanliness.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and environmental requirements.
• Prepare monthly plant performance reports.
• Support other operational projects as required.

We are looking for a Production Executive / Engineer – Refinery to join our manufacturing operations team.

The role is responsible for supporting the safe, efficient and reliable operation of our vegetable oils refinery, with a strong focus on production performance, process efficiency, cost control and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily production activities, including production planning, targets, manpower, machinery, raw materials, consumables and other operational resources.
• Monitor daily production performance, utility and chemical consumption to ensure efficient plant operations and cost control.
• Reconcile production and consumption figures against load cell and flowmeter readings and monitor plant stock levels.
• Work closely with Maintenance and Technical teams to improve equipment reliability and overall plant performance.
• Coordinate production involvement in plant turnaround planning and execution.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, quality and operational performance.
• Monitor key refinery operating parameters, including spent earth oil content, and ensure performance remains within established limits.
• Ensure high standards of housekeeping and workplace cleanliness throughout the plant.
• Ensure full compliance with safety procedures, environmental requirements and established operating standards.
• Prepare monthly plant performance reports covering production results, operating costs, cost-saving initiatives and plant contribution.
• Support other operational projects and assignments as required by Management.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably within vegetable oils refining or a related process manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of vegetable oil refinery processes and operations.
• Experience with RBD and/or hydro plant operations would be an advantage.
• Proficient in AutoCAD with strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across Production, Maintenance, Technical and other functions.
• Able to work effectively in a plant environment and manage operational priorities.
