Job summary

DRB-HICOM is seeking a Head of Production (Operating Company) in Selangor to lead casting and machining operations, ensuring capability to meet customer needs. You will develop production forecasts and coordinate planning across interlinked processes, striving for lean inventory and optimal capacity.

The role requires deep expertise in manufacturing processes, TPM or WC Manufacturing concepts, and a focus on people development and continuous improvement to lift quality, productivity, and cost

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, Technical or related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in production or manufacturing.
• Good knowledge of process implementation, smart manufacturing, production forecasting and engineering processes.
• Exposure to aluminium diecasting products/ automotive industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• To plan, implement and improve the operation of casting and machining productions to meet customer needs and expectations.
• To develop Production Forecast based on sales and financial forecasts; coordinate production planning and scheduling; strive for minimum inventory (lean/JIT).
• To determine, standardize and implement suitable casting and machining processes and maintenance; ensure competency via training programs.
• To determine and implement Production Management Systems (e.g., TPM, World Class Manufacturing) and adapt them to organizational needs for quality and productivity.
• To manage human assets to ensure effectiveness via competency, commitment and motivation.
• To indoctrinate continuous improvement programs and train on problem-solving tools to improve processes, systems and people.
