Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Production Leader for our palm oil/food manufacturing operations. Lead and manage a production team on a day-to-day basis to meet daily targets, ensuring safety and quality, while coordinating with QA, maintenance and HR.

The ideal candidate holds a Degree in Process/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering with at least three years’ related experience; repairs/maintenance knowledge is a plus; strong data analysis and leadership abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Process/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or related fields with minimum three years’ related working experience in palm oil or food manufacturing.
• Repairs/Maintenance knowledge/skills an added advantage.
• GMP, HACCP, ISO Quality Management System and Procedure knowledge.
• Relevant experience and technical knowledge.
• Good production data analyzing skills.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels and exercise independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a production team on a day-to-day operation so as to meet daily targets.
• Train available manpower to their full potential and deploy for optimum productivity
• Present daily production indices in meeting and solicit process / equipment support to ensure tight focus on areas requiring immediate attention
• Ensure and uphold safety, discipline and housekeeping compliance by all personnel and take action on violators.
• Ensure proper documentation and data integrity
• Drive for quality improvement and account for the quality issues in the team
• Plan, strategize and monitor the movement of the WIP for maximum throughput, minimum idle time and maintain line linearity.
• Resolve line related issues and understand all equipment constraints/ capacity issues so as to be able to identify, handle and resolve bottleneck situations.
• To work closely with quality assurance, maintenance and HR department on need basis to ensure operation always in smooth conditions
