Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a capable Production Engineer/Leader to manage a daily production line and lead a team toward achieving targets. You will focus on process optimization, safety, and data integrity while coordinating with QA, maintenance, and HR.

The role requires a degree in engineering with at least 3 years in palm oil or food manufacturing, and strong leadership and maintenance knowledge is valued. This is a permanent, on-site position in Malaysia.

Qualifications

Candidate must possess a Degree in Process/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or related fields preferably with minimum three (3) years’ related working experience in palm oil or food manufacturing industry.
Possessing Repairs/Maintenance knowledge/skills will be an added advantage.
Relevant working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO Quality Management System and Procedure.
Possess the relevant experience and technical knowledge.
Good production data analyzing skills.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels and exercise independent judgment.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a production team on a day-to-day operation so as to meet daily targets.
Train available manpower to their full potential and deploy for optimum productivity
Present daily production indices in meeting and solicit process / equipment support to ensure tight focus on areas requiring immediate attention
Ensure and uphold safety, discipline and housekeeping compliance by all personnel and take action on violators.
Ensure proper documentation and data integrity
Drive for quality improvement and account for the quality issues in the team
Plan, strategize and monitor the movement of the WIP for maximum throughput, minimum idle time and maintain line linearity.
Resolve line related issues and understand all equipment constraints/ capacity issues so as to be able to identify, handle and resolve bottleneck situations.
To work closely with quality assurance, maintenance and HR department on need basis to ensure operation always in smooth conditions.
