Kossan Latex Industries is seeking a production supervisor to monitor and execute the production schedule, manage downtime and quality reports, and coordinate maintenance via CMMS. The role requires leading a shift, coordinating personnel, and ensuring ISO standards are met.
You will drive process optimization, ensure documentation is current, and contribute to safe, efficient glove manufacturing operations.
Monitor and execution of production schedule for output and preventive maintenance.
Review, analyse and manage the daily quality and downtime report / record / category for downtime assignment.
Identity production equipment issue and raise CMMS for maintenance team for rectification.
Review, analyse and manage planned versus actual output.
Escalate abnormal quality issue and progress to HOD and Technical for advice and to resolve issue.
PM activities - follow up CMMS issue raise for completion buy-off with PEM.
Machine buyoff process together with PEM during cold and hot run.
Monitor beading adjustment, performance, usage and consumption.
Monitor pre-leaching tank level, water spray, latex oven blower functionality & landing position
Review, analyse and manage process parameters for further optimization.
Monitor startup and shutdown process according to SWP and optimize utilities consumptions.
Monitor boiler and burner gas usage.
Managing People
Arrange optimal workers to achieve the scheduled tasks
Manage leave taken effectively to ensure no disruption to operations while maintaining fairness and compliance.
Manage competency of workforce by completing training and have passed test required.
Coach and mentor team members with technical details.
Compliance
Handling and monitoring Scrubber and Chlorine system for daily operation.
Equipment & Tools Management
Manage the equipment and tools to ensure properly configured, serviced and calibrated according to schedule and operating optimally.
Safety, Standards and Compliance
Define, communicate and review the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI) for processes, equipment, installation and ensure it is kept current.
Change Control Management
Analyse impact/ feedback/ acknowledge/ approve changes introduced for the department
Support and comply to change implementation to take place for areas in the department
Ensure all relevant document are updated and available.
Others
Any other task and/or assigned duties as required by the management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Qualification:
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
Experiences:
1–5 years of experience in latex/nitrile glove manufacturing or related chemical/continuous process industry.
Experience in manufacturing field with ISO compliance and regulatory environment.
Other Personal Capabilities:
Willing to work in shift
Experience in Glove Manufacturing will be added advantage
Strong leadership skills, independent with self-driven, result orientated, good problem solving and reporting skills, analytical skills, critical thinking skills and good communication skills.
