Job summary

Hartalega Holdings Berhad in Malaysia seeks an Engineer - Production (Compounding) to plan and prepare materials for production, monitor stock levels and ensure specifications are met. The role requires strong organization, attention to detail and teamwork within a manufacturing setting.

You will apply FIFO for all chemicals, prepare materials, liaise with the Laboratory on out-of-spec items and contribute to cost-reduction and maintenance programs while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Chemistry or related field.
• Fresh graduate or minimum 1 year of working experience in manufacturing.
• Able to plan, organize and schedule work.

Responsibilities

• Apply the FIFO system for all chemicals and materials used in production.
• Prepare sufficient chemicals and materials for production, preserving them from contamination and preventing mix-ups.
• Follow written work instructions for all material preparation.
• Liaise with the Laboratory on out-of-spec materials and implement necessary adjustments.
• Execute corrective and preventive actions for any non-compliance.
• Enforce good housekeeping, safety requirements, and proper use of tools/equipment among team members.
• Supervise and guide subordinates through on-the-job training and development programs.
• Collaborate with the RND team on production trials.
• Oversee disposal of scheduled waste and implement cost-reduction and preventive maintenance plans.
• Update the D365 system related to CPD and staging errors, and submit regular reports to the Assistant Manager/Manager.
