Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Penang, Malaysia seeks an Engineer, Production Control to review SPC/FDC charts, ensure SOP compliance, and release tool data according to standard procedures.

The role supports engineers, troubleshoots processes, and collaborates with cross-functional teams. A 12-hour shift is required, with overtime as needed. Diploma in relevant fields and 1–2 years experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical/ Mechatronics/ Microelectronics/ Chemical Process Engineering/ Chemistry/ Physics.
• 1–2 years working experience in electrical/electronics industry.
• Good teamwork, willingness to learn, initiative and accountability.
• Good communication skills (interpersonal, oral and written).
• Ability to perform 12-hour shift (day/night) and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze SPC/FDC charts following CAS/SOP.
• Review setup data and release tool data with proper SOP.
• Troubleshoot process issues and pass down inhibitors & lot disposition.
• Assist engineers and participate in qualification and process improvement projects.
• Coordinate with PE, EAE/EE, Technician, ME and other modules to meet SOP objectives.
• Participate in CIP projects to improve process robustness, cost and capacity.
