Job summary

Boston Scientific in Penang seeks an experienced production operations leader to manage resources, equipment, personnel and materials efficiently while maintaining regulatory compliance.

You will drive cross-functional collaboration with QA, warehousing, logistics, and EHS to improve safety, quality and on-time delivery, and mentor Core Team to achieve high performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• At least 8 years' manufacturing experience in a related field.
• Plan, organize and follow up subordinates & core Team in their daily tasks.
• Ensure all manufacturing operations are followed as required, oversee coaching of operators & manage projects.
• Skills: Supervisory, people management, communication, cross-functional management, capacity planning, problem solving, operations management, computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety measures and procedures are followed to reduce incidents and hazards.
• Develop and maintain a viable plan covering hiring, training, capacity modeling, ramp-rate, learning curves.
• Ensure production processes follow company policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with warehousing, QA, and logistics to ensure prompt shipments.
• Maintain GMP/FDA regulatory requirements, housekeeping, and health and safety standards.
• Cross-functional management with QA, materials, IS, and HR support.
• Lead and motivate Core Team to deliver exceptional work.
• Lead core team in root-cause analysis and implementing solutions.
• Manage floor space with IE to optimize space utilization.
• Work with Trainers to analyze training requirements for line flexibility and agility.
• Collaborate with EHS to set targets and identify environmental impacts.
• Lead strategy planning to improve safety, quality, service, costs, uptime, and tardiness.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance overall performance.
• Recommend changes in workflow, operations, and equipment to maximize efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure safety measures are procedures are followed to reduce unexpected incidents and hazards.
• Developing/maintaining a viable plan incorporating hiring, training, capacity-modeling, efficiency/yield assumptions, ramp-rate, learning-curve etc.
• Ensure production process is carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Liaising with ware-housing, quality assurance, and Logistics teams to ensure prompt shipment of product.
• Maintaining GMP / FDA regulator requirement, Housekeeping, Health and Safety at a high level within the department through the involvement of all team members.
• Cross-functional management of QA, materials, IS and HR support for the team.
• Lead and motivate Core Team in delivering exceptional work.
• Lead Core Team in investigating problems, analyze root causes, and define solutions.
• Floor space management, and working with the Industrial Engineering group to optimise the utilisation of space designated for specific operations area.
• Liaise with Trainers to analyse training requirement for Line flexibility & agility.
• Works with EHS to establish targets and identify significant environmental impacts of BS Penang operations.
• Leading Core Team members in strategy-planning to improve Safety, Quality, Service, Costs (Efficiency & Yield), Equipment up-time and Employees' tardiness.
• Recommend process improvement to enhance production Safety, Quality, Service, Costs (Efficiency & Yield), Equipment up-time and Employees' tardiness.

Job Requirements

• Candidate required to process at least bachelor degree in any related field.
• At least 8-year experience in manufacturing environment in related field.
• Plan, organize and follow up subordinates & core Team in their daily tasks diligently.
• Ensure all manufacturing operations are followed as required (by specifications), oversee & coaching operators & manage projects.
