Job summary

Qualifications

• SPM or Diploma minimum; a Degree in Allied Health is an added advantage.
• Minimum one year of working experience in healthcare sales.
• Basic knowledge of industry, market, competitors, customers, products and services with sound selling skills.
• Basic knowledge of regulatory requirements for products within assigned territories, including handling procedures, shelf life and warranties.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage and influence healthcare customers effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint; good command of English.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operating expenditures against budgets to ensure efficient resource usage.
• Input to medical sales plans and implement action plans to achieve sales targets.
• Track progress against KPIs and sales plans; prioritize daily sales activities.
• Call/visit existing and prospective customers to solicit orders, demonstrations and quotations.
• Conduct product demonstrations and emphasize saleable features and customer benefits.
• Prepare quotation/tender prices, delivery and commercial terms per company policies.
• Report on activities and products of competitors.
• Record sales data for reporting and maintain CRM customer data.
• Execute improvements to sales processes and customer satisfaction to hit targets.
• Maintain a complaints/issues log and follow up with customers.
• Respond to orders and queries; inform customers of promotions and new products.
• Work with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery or installation of products/systems.

About The Role

The Product Specialist drives sales performance and customer engagement for assigned healthcare products and territories within DKSH's Healthcare business. This role contributes to overall business growth through disciplined territory management, effective product promotion, and the cultivation of strong customer relationships across assigned healthcare channels.

What You Will Deliver

• Support superior in managing day-to-day operating expenditures against operating budgets to ensure efficient usage of resources.
• Provide input to medical sales plans based on experience. Implement action plans to achieve sales targets for assigned businesses/territories.
• Track self/team progress against key performance indicators and sales plans. Prioritize and review daily sales activities performed.
• Call/visit existing and prospective customers to solicit orders, gain demonstrations and quotation opportunities.
• Conduct product demonstrations and emphasize saleable features/customer benefits.
• Prepare quotation/tender prices, delivery and commercial terms in accordance with company policies.
• Report on the activities and products of the competitors.
• Record sales data for reporting and tracking purposes. Maintain relevant customer data in appropriate customer relationship management databases.
• Execute continuous improvement activities to enhance sales processes, sales plans, customer satisfaction, etc. to improve sales targets.
• Maintain a customer complaints/issues log and follow up on customer issues.
• Respond to customer orders and queries. Inform current and prospective customers of promotions and new/upgraded products.
• Work with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery or installation of products/systems.
• Support internal stakeholders in relationship development with key customers.

What You Bring

• Minimum Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) or Diploma; a Degree in an Allied Health programme is an added advantage
• Minimum one year of working experience in healthcare sales
• Basic knowledge and understanding of the industry, market, competitors, customers, products, and services, with sound selling skills
• Basic knowledge of regulatory requirements for products within assigned territories, including handling procedures, shelf life, and warranties
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage and influence healthcare customers effectively
