Job summary

Dyson Malaysia's Technology Development team seeks a Product Performance engineer to quantify and optimize how hair appliances dry and style.

You will collaborate with specialists in Product Performance, Acoustics, Fluid Dynamics and Materials, driving tests, analyses and predictive models.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Mechatronics, 3+ years’ design and development experience, and proficiency with Minitab, MATLAB or Excel; CAD/CAE exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years' product design and development experience.
• Strong stats and measurement analysis capabilities.
• Experience with CAD/CAE tools preferred.
• Proficient written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Identify factors affecting performance metrics.
• Use modelling tools to optimize or predict performance.
• Analyze data from tests and analyses with rigorous standards.
• Design tests and test plans to optimize performance.
• Write scripts/Excel/Minitab analyses for predictive models.
• Recommend design mitigations to hit performance targets.
• Collaborate with project team to deliver hair styling and drying performance.
