Hong Leong Bank Berhad is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead the product strategy for business operating accounts and related cash management solutions for micro-SMEs and growing commercial clients.

You will own the digital onboarding, coordinate with Merchant Acquiring teams, and work cross-functionally to optimize conversion, regulatory compliance, and product adoption across our Malaysia network.

• Define and execute the product roadmap for business operating accounts, foreign currency vendor settlements, and cash management solutions for micro-SMEs and growing commercial entities.
• Own the digital application funnel for business entities (instant SSM/BRN registry checks, e-KYC) to maximize conversion and reduce turnaround times.
• Partner with Merchant Acquiring teams to position CASA products as the primary daily settlement account for POS terminals, DuitNow QR merchants, and e-commerce platforms.
• Use cohort analytics and transaction velocity to optimize sourcing channels including direct deposits, branch networks, and digital partner funnels.
• Design targeted liquidity and retention programs leveraging merchant cash flow analytics and supplier payment tools.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Operations, Digital Banking, and Marketing to ensure adherence to regulations and governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Non-Individual CASA & Product Strategy: Define and execute the product roadmap for business operating accounts, foreign currency vendor settlements, and cash management solutions tailored for micro-SMEs and growing commercial entities.
• Digital Onboarding & Straight-Through Processing (STP): Own the digital application funnel for business entities (instant SSM/BRN registry checks, e-KYC), identifying drop-off bottlenecks to maximize conversion rates and reduce turnaround times.
• Merchant Acquiring & Ecosystem Synergies: Partner with Merchant Acquiring teams to position our CASA products as the primary daily settlement account for POS terminals, DuitNow QR merchants, and e-commerce platforms.
• Channel Performance & Quality Auditing: Utilize cohort analytics, initial balance funding rates, and 60-day transaction velocity to optimize sourcing channels (direct deposit sales forces, branch networks, and digital partner funnels).
• Liquidity & Retention Programs: Leverage merchant cash flow analytics to design targeted float-building propositions, including supplier payment tools, ad-spend cash-back incentives via business debit cards, and tiered operating yield features.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Governance: Work closely with Compliance, Operations, Digital Banking, and Marketing to ensure strict adherence to BNM regulations, AML/KYC standards, and company statutory governance.

What We Are Looking For

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
• Experience: 6-10+ years of product management, channel strategy, or commercial portfolio management experience in Retail SME Banking, Business CASA, or Merchant Payments / Cash Management.
• Business Onboarding Knowledge: Strong understanding of non-individual business structures, SSM registry verification, company secretary documentation, and corporate KYC/AML requirements.
• Analytical Literacy: Demonstrated ability to work with funnel analytics, merchant settlement streams, and sales conversion metrics to drive commercial balance growth.
• Ecosystem & Design Thinking: Proven track record of collaborating with merchant acquiring teams, digital marketplaces, or fintech platforms to translate everyday business pain points into intuitive banking features.
